TRADE UNIONS
Trade Unions are organised groups of workers in a profession that protect the rights of that profession. They are important to pre-production as they help the production team with rights and interests.
BECTU is the UK's media and entertainment trade union. It supports members working in non-performance roles in broadcasting; film and cinema; digital media; independent production; leisure; IT and telecoms, and theatre and the arts.
Pact work with members to get their input into responses to consultations that affect the production industry. They also work with parliamentarians to improve the regulatory environment for producers.
